- Spray foam Dawn (or any gentle degreaser)
- Bucket of hot water
- Scrub Daddy or soft sponge (non-abrasive)
- Rags
- Oil-free wood cleaner (like Method Wood Cleaner)
Step-by-Step Guide to Cleaning Cabinet Facings
Step 1: Spray and Soak the Dirty Spots
Work one section at a time. Lightly mist the surface with Spray Foam Dawn — don’t drench it.
Focus on spots where you can see or feel buildup, like:
- The top frame of cabinet doors
- Decorative trim and grooves
Let the cleaner sit for a few minutes.
Step 2: Gently Scrub the Surface
Using your sponge, gently scrub the cabinet doors.
Avoid abrasive scrubbers (they can scratch or damage the finish).
For wood cabinets, always scrub with the grain.
Step 3: Wipe Clean with Hot Water
Dip your rag into the hot water bucket, wring it out well, and wipe the surface. This will remove:
